The capital of Sardinia in Italy, Cagliari, is known for its historical sites. The Castello is the hilltop citadel where the nobility of old used to live. It is a very charming area to walk around in, and many of the sites to see can be found therein. Furthermore, of note are the Roman amphitheater, still largely intact, and the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, where you can experience the results of various excavations of the city.
