The capital of Morrocco, Casablanca, features beautiful architecture and several unique monuments. Hassan II Mosque is the second largest in the world, intricately designed and sitting on the Corniche. This wide seaside boardwalk leads from the mosque on one end to Aid Diab, the luxury resort section on the other. The center of town is notable for Place Muhammad V, a district with many of the most important buildings that feature a design blend of Art Deco and Art Nouveau, featuring Moroccan elements intertwined within. The city also has bustling marketplaces and plenty to see with short day trips outside the city.
