The Southern (and less famous) part of the Tuscan region still offers plenty to do and perhaps even more charm than places such as Siena and Florence. This area is more rural and features numerous small towns and an abundance of nature. The Cascate del Mulino thermal springs in Saturnia are world-class. There are multiple Michelin Star restaurants in the region. The town of Pitigliano was recently featured on Jamie Oliver's show, "Jamie Cooks Italy." There are Roman ruins at Roselle, and there are numerous award-winning beaches in the region, notable for their cleanliness and natural beauty.
