A small island country in the Persian Gulf, Bahrain (which means "two seas"), consists of 50 natural and 33 artificial islands. In this highly tolerant country, both residents and tourists are afforded complete freedom, which is somewhat uncommon in the region. The country is also home to three UNESCO World Heritage sites, The Bahrain Fort, The Pearling Sites (where pearls were harvested for centuries), and The Dilmun Burial Grounds, dating back over 4,000 years.
